Last weekend

 

Friday night some friends of ours had a BBQ and then a bunch of us went to the rodeo that was here in town.

 

 The next morning was the Keith L. Young Memorial 5k, the pic above was before the race.

Umm yeah.....

It's been a long time. I don't really even know what to say....

• we have been living in Wyoming almost a year now. we got our house the end of July last year
• briquelle is now two!
• we bought a camper
• we bought a van (Colby's choice)
• we have had two new trucks since we moved
• we bought a four-wheeler
• Colby is the ward mission leader
• I'm an activity days leader
• briquelle loves the splash park and her friends
• I've lost over 20 inches total since the middle of March
• we have good neighbors
• we like our new ward
• it's nice being closer to our family and our friends
• briquelle is way to smart for her own good
• we re-did our kitchen
• we ran/walked a 5k
• briquelle sleeps in a real toddler bed (not her converted crib bed)
• briquelle is telling me right now she likes glue
• we put sod down in our front yard so we have some grass
• I've slacked on our blog
• Colby went to a union conference in San Diego and I got to go with, we drove, stayed in Vegas on the way down and on the way home
• Briquelle spent almost a whole week away from mom and dad while we went to Cali
• I donated 10 inches of hair to locks of love this past month
• briquelle is saying prayers
• we got to meet some distant family while in Cali

Catching up a bit....

It has been A LONG time since I posted. Don't even know where to start...

We took advantage of being close to the college world series

Briquelle turned ONE!! She was very careful with her giant birthday cupcake, she picked each piece of frosting off one by one, until Colby tore the cupcake in half. She played hard and fell asleep in her highchair eating dinner.

She got her first haircut, she sat and did really well. She loved watching in the mirror.

We have just both been working long days (at least it seems like it) and doing our church callings, seems to take all our time, that's including dishes, laundry, ect....

Mark one off the bucket list!

I got to go to an OU softball game yesterday! LOVED MY LIFE! They won 5-0! I had seats behind home plate, got to meet the coach and team and took photos with them. Colby bought me a pretzel and Gatorade at the game.... AMAZING! That's all I can say!

new realization....

I can ride my bike for miles and miles and feel like I'm going no where.... there aren't many hills in town so i just keep ridding because I don't feel myself getting wore out....

new calling...

So I have now been put into the Primary.... first counselor. What a change from Y.W. It's only been one week, but I can already tell that it is going to be an adventure. I'm still so new in the ward, I don't know anyone so now that I will be in primary I really won't get to know to many people, kids but not many adults. I said to someone, "aren't you suppose to have kids or be at least 35 to be in the Primary presidency..." I get to write the program too.... oh boy!

Colby's calling keeps him busy (ward mission leader) and keeps the missionaries in our house quit a bit. We feed them off and on too, which means more cooking for me. Every Saturday they have a meeting, luckily not all of them have been at our house, just most of them.

Anyway, that's some of what's on my mind....

2 YEARS

Tomorrow marks our two year anniversary.... feels longer yet shorter at the same time.

Lots of miles on our cars

Trips to SLC for railroad interviews and testing

Trips to SLC for mission reunions and confrence

Made lots of new friends

Moved away from lots of our friends

and family

Paid off a few debts

Learned new skills

Tried to buy two houses

Lots of minutes used on our phones

New callings

Been out of our comfort zones many times

Added many friends on Facebook

and so much more

my new job....

I had looked for jobs and applied to for a few on-line once we realized moving to North Platte was pretty much what we would be doing.... I applied for a teller position at Wells Fargo and had two phone interviews/screenings and then set up an appointment for a face to face interview once I got out here, I had that on Wed and got a call Fri from the manager offering me the job. I will start as soon as my background check is complete. :o)
